Our Journey

BMK began in St. Louis, Missouri, as a synthetic bowling pin manufacturer for the leisure market. Our trajectory shifted dramatically after a conversation between a BMK salesman and a neighbor working for Texas Utilities (now TXU Energy). This insight led us to explore the potential of polyurethanes for utility poles, resulting in the creation of Polecrete®, a revolutionary product that enabled quick and reliable utility pole installations.

Innovations

Polecrete® quickly proved its worth, eliminating the need for specialized crews, setting in just 15 minutes, and showing exceptional durability against erosion and other hazards. This success spurred the development of variants for different pole weights and soil moisture levels, and Padcrete™ for leveling utility pads.

Our product line expanded further with:

• RSP™: A sprayable polyurethane for efficient pothole repairs in the transportation industry.
• Postloc®: A consumer-friendly version of Polecrete® for DIY projects.
